EditAppointment Date Range
The date range (date from and date to) of appointments to synchronize from the OWA server.
The date range is needed because the OWA server will expand recurring appointments out very far into the future, and not specifying an end date could be problematic (causing a large amount of data to be synchronized the first time). Also, those who don't use Auto Archive (or delete old appointments) on your calendar might find data from years ago, this is why the start date is important.
Because of the mechanism used to determine changes to your data on the server, any time you change this date range, all of the appointments within the new date range must be downloaded the first time you synchronize. After that, only the changes (additions, updates, and deletions) will be synchronized. You'll want to adjust this setting based on the number of appointments that you have recurring into the future, and other factors unique to your calendar.
The default setting is set to 3 months from the day you install the new version.
EditExample
Because I have a large number of recurring appointments, I've chosen to change my setting to only synchronize a month of data at a time. This means I must change this date range toward the end of the month to keep up with future appointments.
Those who have few appointments, or few that reoccur far into the future might find that longer date ranges are more convenient.
